The Australian Near Infrared Spectoscopy Group (ANISG) is an Australian learned society, with the aim of promoting interaction between users, researchers and developers of NIR equipment, software and chemometric data processing.

ANISG was formed in 1988 during the inaugural conference at Hamilton, Victoria. Since then, a further eleven successful conferences have been held around the country, usually at intervals of 1-2 years. ANISG also organised the 6th International Conference on NIR Spectroscopy at Lorne, Victoria, in 1994.

ANISG produces a newsletter, 'Overtones', maintains and publishes a list of NIR hardware and a membership directory. It also maintains close links with the International Council for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (ICNIRS).

The current office bearers of ANISG are Peter Flinn (Chairman), Graeme Batten (Secretary) and Tony Blakeney (Treasurer). Committee members are Joe Panozzo and Nils Berding.
