THE 14TH ANISG CONFERENCE

"NIR IN ACTION: IT MAKES ECONOMIC SENSE"

National Wine Centre of Australia,

Corner Botanic and Hackney Roads, Adelaide, South Australia 5000

18th-21st April 2010

You are invited to participate in the fourteenth conference organised by ANISG.

We make a welcome return to Adelaide for our first conference there since 1997.  A great venue in a pleasant and convenient city location has been chosen, thanks to the local members of the organising committee.

The conference brings together NIR researchers, students and users of the technology from a wide variety of backgrounds and applications, as well as the major suppliers of NIR equipment and software, to discuss and view current developments.

Given the recent global financial crisis, a special session of the conference will focus on economic aspects of NIR.  Are Australian industries using NIR to their best advantage?  What are the costs and benefits?  Can we afford NOT to use NIR?  Input will be sought from decision-makers in industry, research funding organisations and academia, as well as from the NIR community itself.

Once again, ANISG has organised a separate short course on NIR, conducted by two well-known and highly respected overseas experts, to precede the conference.

The dates for the ANISG events are as follows:

SHORT COURSE:    Spectroscopy for Real Applications

 -   conducted by Woody Barton and Jim De Haseth

 -   Sunday 18th April and Monday 19th April

14th Australian Near Infrared Spectroscopy Conference

 -   Tuesday 20th April and Wednesday 21st April

Not long now ...
